In the heart of Valais, perched on a hillside on the left bank of the Rhône Valley, lies the town of Nendaz, offering panoramic views of the Alps and the Rhône Valley. This region, where forests cover a quarter of the total area, is a vast playground for nature lovers, stretching from the Rhône plain (Aproz) to its highest point (Rosablanche, 3,336 m), offering a space of boundless freedom.
The municipality comprises about fifteen villages and hamlets, with a total population of 7,000.
Located at an altitude of 1,360 meters, Haute-Nendaz, the tourist center, is brimming with shops and restaurants, offering all the amenities of a “small town” while retaining its character as a mountain resort. The municipality’s large population, along with the influx of tourists and second-home owners, gives the village a lively and pleasant atmosphere.
The resort offers direct access to the famous 4 Vallées ski area, which includes 410 km of ski runs and trails, as well as its highest peak, Mont-Fort, at 3,330 m. In winter, snow sports take center stage, offering experiences for both beginners and experts, whether on the slopes or off-piste. Various events, such as the Nendaz-Freeride or the Verbier Extrême (at Mont-Fort), liven up the quieter weeks of the season.
Summer is ideal for hiking, thanks in particular to a unique network of irrigation channels stretching 98 km, offering trails for all skill levels. Hikers, cyclists, and mountain bikers can enjoy the many accessible routes, ranging from the valley floor to the glaciers, through orchards, forests, alpine roads, or rocky trails, along mountain lakes, or up to the highest peaks. In July, Nendaz transforms into the capital of the alphorn, with its international festival.
The resort of Nendaz is constantly evolving to meet the expectations of its many tourists, with innovative Alpine architecture. The selection of luxury hotels has expanded significantly in recent years, with properties such as the 4-star Hôtel des 4 Vallées and its exceptional spa, open to the public (2,200 m² in total)
Access
Access to the chalet is directly from the cantonal road. Parking spaces are located along the roadside. During the winter, occupants are responsible for clearing snow from the parking spaces

Throughout the season, Nendaz maintains a lively and welcoming atmosphere thanks to the many activities on offer. The Nendaz Freeride, Snow Vibes, and various events organized by the tourist office set the pace for the resort and add a festive touch to winter days. In winter, ski touring enthusiasts gather for Skimo Inalpe 2.0—a wonderful way to explore the mountains in a new light, set against an exceptional backdrop.

SUMMER – A Different Side of the Mountains
In the summer, Nendaz reveals a completely different side, combining unspoiled nature, outdoor activities, and a relaxed way of life. Its remarkable network of bisses, stretching 98 km, offers a multitude of walks accessible to everyone. These paths, often shaded and relatively flat, allow you to explore the region’s landscapes alongside the water, in a peaceful and enchanting setting.
Hiking and mountain biking enthusiasts won’t be left out. Forest roads, alpine trails, and mountain paths offer a wide variety of routes—from family-friendly walks to more challenging hikes—all while providing that special feeling of being in the heart of the Valais Alps.
When temperatures rise, the Nendaz swimming pool becomes a true oasis of coolness in an exceptional setting. Children can also enjoy a wading pool and play areas specially designed for the little ones.
The sports center rounds out this offering with a wide range of facilities: a climbing wall, tennis courts, beach volleyball, ping-pong tables, and many other activities to help you make the most of the long summer days.
