Municipality
In the heart of the Valais, on a hillside on the left bank of the Rhône Valley, the commune of Nendaz offers generous, often panoramic views of the Alps and the Rhône Valley. Crowned by magnificent peaks, the area offers nature lovers an immense space of freedom, stretching from the Rhône plain (Aproz) to the highest peak (Rosablanche 3336 m).
The commune is made up of some fifteen villages and hamlets, inhabited by a total of 7,000 people.
Haute-Nendaz (1360 m), its tourist center, is full of shops and restaurants, with all the facilities of a "small town" while remaining a mountain resort. The commune's high population and the large number of tourists and/or second-home owners ensure that the village is a pleasant and often lively place to live.
The resort offers direct access to the famous 4 Vallées ski area, with its 410 km of ski runs and itineraries, and its highest point, Mont-Fort, at 3330 m. Winter sports are king here, and will satisfy beginners and experts alike, both on and off the slopes. Events such as the Nendaz-Freeride or the Verbier Extreme (at Mont-Fort) punctuate the quieter weeks of the season.
Summer is all about walkers, with a unique network of bisses (98 km) offering walks for all levels. Hikers, cyclists and mountain bikers can take advantage of the countless itineraries available from the plains to the glaciers, through orchards or forests, on alpine roads or rocky paths, along mountain lakes or up to the highest peaks. In July, Nendaz is transformed into the capital of Alphorn music, with its international festival.
The resort of Nendaz is constantly evolving to meet the expectations of its many tourists, with innovative alpine constructions. In recent years, for example, the 4* Hotel des 4 Vallées and its exceptional spa (2200 m2 in total) have been opened to the public, as has the recently opened Mad Retreat, offering a haven of peace in a complex of small luxury chalets, with spa and treatments, also open to the public

WINTER
4 Vallées: 410 km of pistes and 89 lifts in a single package. The 4 Vallées ski area flirts with infinity, linking the resorts of Verbier, La Tsoumaz, Nendaz, Veysonnaz and Thyon. Its countless possibilities, the quality of its snow cover, its peak on the glacier at 3330 m (Mont-Fort) and its sunshine make it an exceptional site. This ski area is a delight for both experts and novices alike. Open from November to the end of April, the area also offers a vast playground for off-piste and ski touring enthusiasts.
The skating rink or one of the resort's magnificent public spas offer an alternative to a day on the slopes. Various events are organized by the tourist office during the season, and events such as the Nendaz-Freeride or the Snow wibes will liven up the quieter weeks of winter.
SUMMER
In summer, Nendaz's fantastic network of bisses (98 km) offers a whole new way to discover the town, with shady, flat walks for all levels. The many forest and alpine roads, as well as the mountain trails, will also delight hikers and mountain bikers.
On hot days, the swimming pool is the perfect place to cool off in idyllic surroundings. Games and a paddling pool will also delight the little ones.
A climbing wall, tennis courts, beach volleyball and table tennis round off the sports center's facilities.
The Nendard market is the ideal place for locals, residents and tourists to meet and socialize. Numerous events are organized during the summer, including the famous International Alphorn Festival, which will thrill you with the sounds of this enormous wind instrument, both on the Alpe à Tracouet and in the resort.
